WhatsApp Vibe Check

45%  of Gen Z’ers admit to struggling with mental health. And though communication apps have been key in destigmatizing conversations around mental health, they have mostly failed to provide support beyond offering creators a platform. Struggling young people need more than an audience to tackle their mental health challenges. They need support.

With its more intimate approach to peer-to-peer communication, WhatsApp can empower Gen Z’ers to explore complex emotions and nurture the trust between users necessary for discussing them.

Introducing Vibe Check: a simple extension to WhatsApp that prompts users for a check-in on their current mood—or “vibe.”
